Hari Raya Weekend (Part 2)

My part 2 post is taking way too long mann. But I'm lazy.. :P
Anyway, decided to bring J to watch Sesame Street show that sunday, even though I know that he has no patience.. But Shimei's bringing JZ along so it's good company.

12th Sep, Sunday

J is recovering from his weeklong fever so you still can see him a little skinny here.. But he's piling back the weight by drinking milk by the gallons.. My $$$$$$... -_-III

J is looking more like Roy now that he's slimmer. Does that mean when he's fat, he looks more like me?!!

We're seated differently cos didn't get the tickets together but J doesn't seemed to realise that though.. And the show has begun.


Anyway, for a start, he's fixed on the colourful stage.


We found it quite enjoyable cos our childhood sesame street characters had come to life. The only one realistic was Big Bird cos that's how we saw him on TV walking around dancing & stuff. The rest were just half the bodies so it's kinda strange to see them with legs.


But this walking cactus was just hilarious!


There's a break of 15mins for the cast to take a breather..


A break for J too.. By climbing up and down the steps.
And the rest of the show were just dancing and singing, nothing much as it's mainly for the kids.. Not going to load the rest of the show's picture to bore you guys.


After the show, went up to look for them.


Of course must remember to take a pic with the stage behind.

Not willing to part right away after the show, so we proceeded back to Macdonalds.. Heh..
JZ got some stationery freebies so upon Shimei's request, share some with Jared.


But I think they find iphones much more interesting than erasers and rulers..We went straight home after that. I don't know why but it's really tiring to bring kids out, even for a while. Just don't have endless energy like they do.


Met up with sis & Dennis for dinner that evening. Classic picture of Dennis & J.Didn't take much pictures after that cos I'm relaxing and catching up with sis. :D

Hari Raya Weekend (Part 1)

Last friday is Hari Raya holiday and we managed to wake up a little later than usual. So good to sleep cos it's a rainy day..


J's super happy to sit in Dennis's car as they came over to pick us up during dinnertime. Opening up the skyroof for J to look out. Anything to keep the cheeky boy entertained.

We went to Sunset Grill & Pub in Seletar for dinner. Not easy to locate the place mann.. Have to watch out for the small hand written signboards along the roads.


They ignored me & walked ahead while I took a few pictures just to show you peeps. :P


Actually nothing much to take cos everything look so run down and old. My feet look so much betta.. LOL. Should apply some nail polish though, look so plain..

I've never been there before so don't understand what's so nice about their food that resulted in such long queues.

Dennis went to queue while we walked with J up and down the corridor. Kids like to do repetitive things, I've noticed.. =_=


The place was not fully occupied but the Q outside snaked all the way to the next block. =_=


Their infamous Buffalo spicy wings. But we're only gamed to try level 2, lol.. Don't wanna risk having a tummy upset mann..


J busy moving & stacking plates from left to right & right to left.

Kids nowadays are so much harder to handle... I remembered last time when bringing my little cousins out for dinner, they will just sit down quietly and zho bo. But now... meal time for us is always a challenge as we have to keep J entertained, feed him or we'll take turns to bring him for a walk while the rest will rush and shoving food into the mouths. Can't really enjoy food in this way mann..

Really have not seen darling Lauren for some time due busy with J when he's down with fever for the past few weeks. So I made a trip on my own to see my little Lauren & mummy on sat.

My, she has gained some weight & her cheeks are so meaty and good to pinch! Not that I bear to pinch lah! :D And you can see her blowing little bubbles in her mouth, awwww.. really a heartbreaker.


After daddy Andrew wiped her mouth clean for me to take another pic, she looked directly into my phone! Must be my cute smiling pink iphone cover that caught her attention! And she makes all these cute little whimpers & grunts that J never did before, must be a girl thing.. I turned all soft inside out.. I want to bring Lauren home mann, babysit for free too!

And mummy Carmen bought this pinky rocker for her, where there's a switch to rock the basket up & down. The 3 of us just sit there & watch & making cooing sounds to her.

She must be thinking.. "Who're these 3 clowns making so much noise infront of me, let me enjoy my ride in peace can?!"

Boeing Boeing & Jac

Went to watch boeing boeing the play at National Library last saturday.
Well, actually I went on behalf of Lindy, who couldn't make it as she went for holidays with her family. I'm the super sub, just like the previous time when Nic couldn't make it to watch Men in tutus. :P


Made my own way to bugis iso asking Roy to fetch so that he can look after J. :) Had dinner at Crystal Jade.


Not really hungry so ordered soup macaroni with egg and luncheon meat. It's one of my favourite comfort food.


Nic joined us much later, and we all gotta wait for her cos she's holding onto all the tickets! Just on time. Took a shot inside before the usherer signaled us that no camera is allowed. But the play haven't start what, we're just taking pictures of ourselves, cannot meh?!


There was a break of 15mins during interval so we went out to take a breather. Took a groupie shot before goofing around at the lounge area.


Just love the reverse viewer of my cammie. Will never ever be out of focus. :)

Passerbys think we're lunatics.. :P


Even the tickets were not spared from the camwhoring.. We damn boliao..


Took a pic together with the banner after the show. Daniel's not in the picture cos he rushed to intercontinental hotel to take a crap.


It's Jac's birthday on monday, so we got Greg to join us at Lau Pa Sat with a birthday cake. It's covered in oats & walnut on chocolate cake, not too bad.

Jac's so happy and touched and smiling from ear to ear.

Danny couldn't make it that evening so he asked Nic to give her a kiss. But Nic's mouth was greasy from all the food so gotta use a tissue instead. Should just wipe her mouth clean and give Jac a big fat wet kiss hor..


We chatted & joked till 1am before heading home. Glad to be out of the house after taking care of J for a few days straight.. Not that I'm complaining.. Just need the company of friends once in a while..

Day 5 of fever

02th Sep, Thur
Went to see family doc that evening.. Doc heard some murmurs on J's left lung over his stethoscope and suspected might be a infection, which could lead to pneumonia. He immediately wrote a referral letter to have a x-ray done in KKH. I was in a daze when I carried J out of the consultation room. Sis looked at me & ask what happened. My tears just rolled down as I told them I have to bring J to KKH. Dunno why, I just got very very worried at that moment. So we went home to wash up and also packed some of J's necessities in case need to be admited, and rushed there.


We were shocked to see sooo many kids and parents waiting for consulation, most cases with high fever. Jared was brave initally cos he did not scream or cry when staff nurse drew blood from his fingertip to check for cause for his fever. Next we waited for almost 3 hours for the doc to examine J & he started screaming & choking on his phlegm when doc checked his mouth for ulcers with the wooden stick and he recommended for x-ray on his lungs for any infection. I had to pin & press him against the glass for imaging, poor baby...

While waiting for the results, J's still very alert and he will hold our hand to accompany him to walk round and round for almost 2 hours. We took turns to walk with him while the other will rest and dozing off.

Finally at almost 3.15am, the doc called us in to informed that there is no abnormality on his blood & x-ray image looked clear. By then, J's already dozing off on my shoulder and my back is breaking!

Though we spent almost 6 hours at KKH, we were relieved that everything turned out ok. And the new prescription proved to be effective as his temperature had gone down to normal.


This is J at home today on saturday. His weight now is 9.9kg compared to 10.9kg last sunday.
Bird's feet now. Not chubby and cute anymore.. -_-

ps: We've decided to put on hold the daycare for J, as mom objected violently on putting him there as she thinks their management of her precious grandson leave much to be desired. So for the time being, we'll just concentrate on nursing him back to health and boost up on his immune system first. Wouldn't want to provoke the main caretaker, right? :P

Not again..~~~ =_=III

Most of you might have known by now that J is down with influenza. And because of the flu, his fever keep coming back, and stubbornly refused to go down. Even when he's ill, he's still quite energetic and insisted on going out for a walk. He will come grab your hand & drag you to the door, bring out his shoes for you to put on for him.

29th Aug, Sunday

His fever started last sunday, so we brought him over to our family clinic in chai chee. He absolutely hated the cool patch and will kick up a fuss when I tried sticking on his forehead.


Daddy brought him downstairs for a walk that day and took a pic of them to show me how happy J is. All our neighbours saw him with the patch & show their concern to the cheeky boy.


He has lost 1kg due unable to eat much and has turned so skinny that his head looks slightly bigger for his body.

30th Aug, Monday

At the stairsway at folks' place. That's the place where ah ma will put on his shoes for him.


Still having fever that day, on monday. Cos he feels uncomfy due to fever and flu, that he couldn't get sound sleeps and ended up with dark circles under his eyes. @_@

Was looking through J's health book to see what jabs he's taken and saw his little footprint on his birth day. Sooo tiny against my hand.
